CHRISTMAS COMMISSIONS and GIFTS

As the primary day of Christmas gift-giving has come and passed, I'm now willing to post about the many art commissions and art project gifts completed during the holiday season so far. The Santa painting is actually a portrait of my husband dressed as Santa, and the Calavera painting was a gift from me to my sister-in-law who loves candy-skulls. The remaining pieces in this post are all commissions, some requested and completed at the last minute, less than a week before Christmas. I can definitely say this has been one of the busiest Christmas shopping seasons I have ever worked primarily as an artist. I even sold one of my children's books at the start of the month, to be gifted to someone the customer had in mind.

Tomorrow! I will be at Hollywood Feed in Birmingham (Doug Baker location) to promote my pet portraiture for the Holiday Season. This one sample featured here is an acrylic painting of one of my favorite dog breeds, the dachshund, which have been a part of my family's history for at least 3 generations.
