I'm in a climbing mood. It's climbing season, and while working on a book cover commission and dabbling with watercolors and other past techniques this week, I came across ink drawings I did years ago based on my own amateur sports photography. When I get into something, it comes through in my art. That's how you know I love something, when it reaches into my art, just because I enjoy it that much. When I fell in love, my husband became the subject of my art. The same with climbing (bouldering). At the moment I have it on my mind and seeing my own art about it just completes the process for me.

I have been wanting to do this for a while, but I have had some difficulty finding the physical medium I wanted to render this in. These are all silver marker on black paper or board.

My first commission of the new year, a double dog portrait, in acrylic measuring 16x20 inches.
